ASF international is going ot run this gym in the ground. Do NOT join this gym. Too crowded and once you get fed up you just keep on paying. I am a member of two gyms now because of them.

The other reviewers are correct in that ASF representatives are very rude and inefficient. Getting out of the contract even with a valid reason such as moving out of the area is difficult. Besides that, the gym floor remodel took months while cardio classes of 30+ were held in poorly ventilated racquetball rooms. The instructors were great, but the facilities and service had really gone downhill since I first joined. I recommend avoiding this club.

Don't join this fitness center. Beware of the contract. You aren't signing a contract with Sportplex, you are signing one with ASF International. ASF International trains its staff on rudeness and inciting anger in those who call them. Not only is it impossible to get out of the contract, you have to pay an extra charge to do so. What could be a great fitness center and what started out as a great experience for me is ruined by its affiliate ASF International.

 

Editor: Reading the contract before you sign it can help you avoid these situations. Unless you meet the qualifications set forth in the contract for breaking the contract (i.e. you moved, have suffered a qualifying injury, etc.), you are not necessarily entitled to cancel the contract.

Make sure this is the gym for you before you join. Once in, you have to die to get out. Read the contract and be prepared to jump through their hoops if you ever want to stop them from deducting automatically from your checking account. ASF is impossible to deal with.
