SUMMER SCHEDULE FOR SWIMMING
The summer schedule is extremely limited for lap swimmers and the club coming in at 6 AM, taking 3 lanes; the masters being pushed into the early hours; AND THE WATER GYMNASTICS TAKING UP A FULL LANE STARTING AT 6:30 WITH A TOTAL OF 2 PARTICIPANTS AND ONE INSTRUCTOR make it increasingly difficult to get swimming in. With the closure on weekends as a result of swim meets one has to wonder if the YMCA should be renamed YAHOO club. Why not consider starting the water ballet classes (with 2 participants) at 7or 7:30 AM? Is it possible to start with the swim club at 7 AM (particularly with school being over)? The frustration with the schedule is being voiced by many members in the YMCA and I hope they, too, will make their voices and displeasure heard.
