I was a member of this facility for over 5 years. In the entire time there was not one decent massage therapist that stayed. This disturbed me and I decided to do some investigation of my own. There was a young black woman that was hired there in 2001. She was excellent, the best I've had. They made her do a lot of pro bono work, supposedly to promote the club. There was also a wellness director in charge of the massage department who was a bit pschyo. At any rate this wellness director would engage in scuttlebutt throughout the club to bash this young lady. She made references to her sexual preference so on and so forth. There was a scheme devised to get rid of her and the owners went along with this. I have tried for four years to locate this young lady. If anyone knows of her whereabouts, please write in a review. Also thereafter the owners got rid of the old lady in the deli, an outstanding personal trainer, etc. The staff is fake friendly and the owners are absolutely horrible to work for. Their leading salesperson is a closet alcoholic that drinks throughout the day while on duty. So ladies and gentlemen you make a choice is this a place where youd like to spend your hard earned money.
Having just moved into the area I was out and around looking for a gym - saw this place so I thought I'd check it out. On first glance it was dim - no windows at all. The equipment is old - (brown cybex from the 70s) and the free weights are the kind that will flake off in your eyes if they touch. I thought it may be one of those things I could tough out until I found out that it was almost $50 a month (it's not worth that much). On my way out I had the privilege of "meeting" the owner. He was complaining that a member had actually put a suggestion in the "member suggestion box" and that he didn't actually want to get any suggestions - it was just for show. He said if he cared what the members thought he would ask them. He then told whoever he was talking to to tell the member that if she didn't like it there she could leave. My tour guide then smiled, told me that was the owner, and asked if I wanted to sign up for a year membership. All for $50 a month. . . I'm passing on this one.
