They only smile in the beginning, that's the hook. Once you've paid for your membership it's all down hill from there.
I paid for a full year and they charged my debit card twice, once in Jan 2007 then again in Feb for the full amount causing many checks to bounce. It's been over two weeks and no one has done anything. You'll never see or speak with [the owners]. NEVER. You will, however, be lied to by [employees at various locations]. By the way, if I didn't mention if you pay for a full membership they will not reimburse you if you want to cancel. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON MEMBERSHIPS PAID IN FULL. If you still plan to join, under no circumstances pay with a credit card, debit card, or check. Make it cash only. If they get a hold of any banking information they will steal from you.
Well, they say you have a 7-days period to cancel your membership and get your money back, but 32 days have already passed and I still did not get my refund. Actually, my credit card was charged today for the monthly service although i'm not a member there anymore. So, I called the lady up at the gym and asked her for an explanation; guess what she answered? Sir, let me call you back after I pull out your information. Yeah, she was polite, but never called me back. Now, I don't know if she is smart enough to operate a computer since she's kind of old, but I know for sure she's not still sitting in front of the computer till now looking for my information. Save yourself and save your money, because the only thing your going to get at that gym is an infuriating and inconvenient customer service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
