An incredibly luxurious club without crowding
Willowbrook Athletic Club provides a model for how all clubs should operate. Although it is not really oriented as a "family style" club, the fact that there are always available lanes in the swimming pool of decent length (most pools are 25 yards, this one is 20) and the locker room feels less like a locker room than a nice hotel lounge (plasma tvs that show hd baseball games, comfy leather chairs, wooden lockers (some that have free digital locks in them)) make the club above and beyond the competition. The workout machines are in a high elevated dome next to the cafe and a kiosk which has free ice water - either with lemon or without as well as a stock-hold of magazines. The club atmosphere really works wonders, as well as their free complementary apples you can enjoy as you leave the club (and they are incredible, by the way).
