Stop Crying
Great club with friendly atmosphere, nice staff and newer equipment. This club is around 15,000.00 sqft and offers something for everyone. In an industry that is starting to go the direction of the supper club. This club is hanging tough in the market, and welcomes it's loyal members. This club is also ranked as one of the top 10 clubs in Maryland by The Baltimore Business Journal "Book Of Lists" . It is my experience that people that try and break their contracts and aren't permitted, are the ones that complain, after all they toured the club and joined, even if what they say is true why did they join after touring the club and seeing what they said was wrong with it? It is a great club and is priced right for the area.

While I was a member it wasn't bad, but after I moved away it became terrible. Due to their "if legal then not ethical" billing practices, I've been paying for a membership for two years without knowing it. It was withdrawn from my checking account by a billing company I had never heard of, and the charge was listed as professional services.

First of all, the equipment is old and rusted, causing the pulleys to pull inconsistently. 2nd, there are always old fat people in the pool. 3rd, the locker rooms stink like ass! 4th, the quarter sized basketball court (when it's not full of people doing cardio) has rafters hanging down which make it tough to shoot anything but a layup. 5th, the entire facility is about the size of an average apartment.
My beef: I signed up for a 1 year membership. I was told by the manager that if I want to cancel I only lose my next month and last (12th) month's monthly fees. Nope! You lose half the remaining months and 'whatever else they choose'... I'm not kidding! It made sense monetarily to continue even if I didn't plan on going more than once or twice the remainder of the year (like 6 months!). Then, after I tell them that I want my membership canceled, several months prior, once the year is over I receive a call from the collection agency asking for $300!!! I would not recommend the Body Factory in Elkridge, MD to anyone!!!!!

I was a member there and moved out of the area. They won't cancel your membership and have some rinky dink gyms that they are affiliated with. It wasn't even worth the effort to go to these gyms, so I had to pay a whole year for the membership.

What a rip-off
Too bad they have never upgraded but only downsized his gym over the years. Funny, my membership fees have only increased..... Seems like they always talk about making changes when the ceiling still leaks in the free weight area and the shower/bathroom area is like an old high school gym. And it smells even worse.
