I will say, that at first I liked this gym a lot. It had just opened, and while it was expensive (now $80+) the equipment is very good with a diverse selection. However with time, my opinion of the overall atmosphere has changed for the worse. I was turned off by the fact that each amenity cost extra (a towel costs $5 a day), that the number of days the basketbal court was available was slowing being decreased in order to make space for pay-to-play leagues, that there were cars from local dealerships parked in the middle of the gym as ads, and the lap pool was turned into a cancun-like pool bar on the weekends (who heard of a health club that sells beer?). Plus after visiting friends' gyms, I realized how much more other gyms (Results in D.C. is one example) provided for a similar price. Lastly, it's crowded, which is weird since they are constantly running "New Member" promotions...
In the end, the gym begins to feel like a meat factory where their goal is to squeeze every $ possible out of customers.
