Unprofessional
i was a member at golds gym in reno nv, until some blond girl that works at the front desk told me i could not come in because my membership had been canceled for some reason. when i tried to get to the bottom of it the girl tells me i don't have time to bullsh_t with you, so i then cancelled my membership and i hope no one else goes here because they are very unprofessional.

I went to Gold's Gym in Reno, NV, and was, at first, happy with the services. The disappointment came 6 months later, when a lot of group classes I was attending got canceled without any notice. After sitting and waiting for the teacher for 20 mins, we (there were 7 or 8 of us) were informed that the class as well as a bunch of other group classes were cancelled due to low demand (under 10 people attending). They said it was probably just for the summer. Personally, I was very frustrated since when I joined Gold's Gym, I indicated to the person who signed me up and to the person who showed me the facility that I was only interested in Group classes and also that I left 24 Hour Fitness due to the fact that their schedule didn't match my needs very well, and a lot of classes were being canceled on a regular basis. No employee of Gold's Gym I talked to ever mentioned that some classes may be canceled for the summer. And, of course, since I work, pretty much all the canceled classes were the ones I was attending and could attend. I asked Gold's Gym to cancel my membership due to all the above mentioned reasons, and they refused. Turned out, it's almost impossible to cancel, you have to either pretty much become totally handicapped or move to the North Pole; and, of course, nothing gets solved locally, you have to e-mail, call or fax some corporate office, and they are just terrible and do not do anything. I also read a bunch of other pretty bad stories about Gold's Gym throughout the country when I started researching the Internet. Too bad I found out too late. Check out http://golds-gym-sucks.com/Main/HomePage. I feel I've been misinformed or even lied to. Do not join!
