It's MY Club
I have been a member of a number of gyms and fitness clubs in Burlington, starting with Bad Boys Gym many years ago.......most recently, I was a member of Energy Fitness for almost 10 years. I left Energy Fitness due to the closure of their more 'hardcore' facility on Lakeshore and newfound direction towards aerobics and personal training for all the Millcroft and Orchard mothers with more money then brains trying to regain their youth. BFRC has been great. It is impressively spacious, and I have never seen an equipment selection like this before. In addition to these features, the racquet areas and instructors are top-notch (so I've heard). My only criticism surrounds the dumbbells that max out at 100 pounds, the seemingly increasing number of members (it has actually been a little too crowded or my liking once or twice, lol), and people not returning their free weight plates to the designated areas. Actually, I just thought of the worst problem of all - PARKING. Since parking is no longer available across the street, attending a workout or racquet game anytime between 5-8pm is nearly an impossibility unless you want to start your workout with a brisk 10 minute walk from the nearest available parking spot. This is becoming worse, and bordering on ridiculous. The reason this issue didn't jump to mind immediately is that I live around the corner and often walk when the weather is cooperative. The only other thing I would change is making the fitness area 24/7 to facilitate workouts for insomniacs and procrastinators.
