Women's Choice have no choices (out West)
Well.... I was a "contract trapped" member for 3 years and I can say the only perk was the no men policy. It was always nice to roll out of bed and throw on some sweats; no make up and in general look like poop but the only perk seemed outweighted by the low-standards of Ladies Choice. Gym equipment is gym equipment- alittle out dated for my taste. With a wall of tread mills (ok, cool) staring out into nothingness. No TV's, and steady radio. Just one big room with all the equipment packed onto one side. The same room, I might add, that held the equipment AND the arobic classes and the kid care. Nothing helps you work out harder so you can get the hell out of there like screaming children. And if flashbacks of high school gym class when it was time to hit the showers is what you enjoy reliving- then go have a shower. All in one big shower and you guessed it- no privicy. No towels to rent or use (I found out the hard way on one of my first visits, forced to resort to harsh paper towels). No music, because the older ladies were constantly changing the radio or worse turning it down. So much for working out with the beat. Their hours were crazy, early start like at 7:30am (who works out at 7:30AM?) and closed at a weak 9:00pm. Except for Sundays-sorry they were closed. Trainers were hard to come by because there weren't any or they were busy signing up other suckers, oh I mean members. Or they were on the phone. One trainer, Penny, spent most of our training time checking herself and her "ass-sets" in the mirror while I sweated away wondering if she even knew my name. What should be a great idea (women only), became a big dissapointment. If you want a gym, try Court South or even the Rush. They have ALOT more to offer.
