Overall:

If all you care about are the basics - weights, lifecycles, stairmasters and treadmills, this club fits the bill. Most of the equipment is 5-10 years old and not always in the best shape. It's not unsafe, mind you, but the wear and tear definitely shows. If you care more about what you're doing than who sees you do it you won't mind this place.

Surprises:

The pool is surprisingly well-maintained and the extra-large hot-tub is always busy. The water is a pleasant cool for swimming laps and never an eye irritant. Despite all the positives it's not very busy (which is another plus for swimmers).

The snack bar/store offers delicious drinks and a good selection of items you may have left at home - clothing and other necessities.

Oh my:

The locker rooms are another story altogether. 2-3 times a year they won't have a. hot water; b. cold water; c.any water. Add to that the water everywhere from a clog and it's a roll of the dice every day. The showers are a popular hangout for insects and mold. The shower curtains (when they have them) are dirty and ripped. I think the poor ventilation in the locker rooms must be to blame for most of the problems as it is always stiflingly hot - even in the winter.

Positives:

The staff is helpful and friendly (always). The club isn't too busy in the mornings and remains usable in the crowded afternoons.

Bargain:

If you're paying more than $25/month for this gym you're being victimized. There are other gyms in the area for $25 per month that offer much better facilities (but no pool!).
