World Gym

The World Gym in Leesburg is badly in need of new ownership.  The aerobics/fitness room equipment is old and falling apart.  The floor is filthy as are the steps and mats.

The staff hardly notices anything.

In an effort to find the phone number to the gym on the web, I came across this review ("Corrupt Owner").  I'm in the same situation.

I moved out of town and called to cancelled my membership.  Four months later I receive a notice from a collection agency stating that I owe nearly $150. 

They are either Corrupt or Incompetent.  The end result is the same to this former member.  Be wary in dealing with these folks.

We joined the World Gym in Herndon, VA.  We knew they'd be moving locations during the year in the herndon area and we were told that if the new location wasn't convenent for us we could void our contract.

They then shut down the location, told us that we would have to use a location 20 miles further away from our house, and that the Sterling location wouldn't be reopening for months.

Needless to say, we sent them a request to cancel our membership.

They refused to cancel and we are now recieving notices from collection agencies for the full value of the remaining contract.

These people are crooks.
