Freedom Center

I have been attending this gym for a while now and am not impressed with it at all, but it's unfortunately the closest gym to my house.  The gym does have some very knowledgeable training staff, however some are very questionable.  The staff are always courteous and available to answer questions.

The problem is with the gym itself.  If you are retired or not serious about your weight training then maybe this is the gym for you.  It emphasizes the use of machines rather then free weights.  It only has two reclining benches, and two non-reclining benches for use with dumb bells. The space is limited inside the gym, especially around the dumb bell area.  It additionally gets crowded in the evenings.

Another problem i have with this gym is the outside activities they host.  They will close off sections of the basketball court and pool area, which you paid for with dues, so that they can hold these events.  When these activities are held, the parking is horrible.  The worst part is that they play oldies over the stereo system.  Who wants to work out to oldies other then the local gentry?
