I love it, having everything you would like to use, with a great day care while you work out. I am a single dad with three boys and this place hits the spot.
After I get done working out the boys can play ball or swim. There are classes that are going on all the time that you get with your membership, I think if you got a week pass and tried it out it would lock you in.
for being "state of the art" the equipment is ancient. It got upgraded when they got the equipment from Heroes (Gold's), but still is lacking. Salespeople lie about the offerings during tours. The front desk staff, personal trainers, and good cleaning staff are about the only things positive about the place. It always feels like the people on the upper level are watching and checking people out as the work out.
The gym is never available in the winter as they have soccer practices for the kids every day and during prime time hours. Fall, winter, and spring the pool isn't available for lap swimming during prime time hours because of swim lessons and water aerobics. The locker room is cramped and unless you have an end locker you have to wait to get to your locker or step around people to get to your locker.
Don't forget that towels aren't included in a membership (extra cost even though they say everything is included), expect to wait to use some of the good equipment during busy times, tanning beds suck, most of the time the playroom workers sit around talking instead of interacting with the kids, it's a loud environment, the walking/running track doesn't offer much cushioning. I wish there was a decent club on the east side to go to without having to go all the way to Sun Prairie.
